Hengshan Sunrise Trail Introduction
Hengshan is the highest peak of the Bagua Mountain Range and one of Taiwan's Minor Hundred Peaks. The trail is approximately 1.4 kilometers long and connects at both ends to County Road 139 B. You can start your hike from the opposite end of the Changqing Bicycle Path (Seven Thousand Steps Trail). The entire trail has a gentle slope, and at the high point, there are seats and a viewpoint. From the summit, you can enjoy a broad view and, with some luck, see eagles soaring in the sky. The trail also features a picturesque view of the Bagua Plateau's agricultural landscape. There are legally operated campgrounds nearby, making it a perfect spot for outdoor recreational activities. Trail length: 1.36 kilometers. Walking time: 0.7 hours. Facilities include information boards, signposts, benches, viewpoints, and pavilions.
