義民廟

The small and exquisite Yimin Temple is located just a stone's throw away from Chaotian Temple. During the Qing Dynasty, local events, including the Lin Shuangwen and Dai Chaochun rebellions, led to the formation of a local militia in Beigang to bravely defend their homeland. After the turmoil was quelled, the local residents commemorated the fallen martyrs by enshrining them at "Jingyi Pavilion." After several renovations, it was renamed "Yimin Temple," becoming a historic site that combines a memorial and temple for future generations to worship.

Yimin Temple Introduction

The small and exquisite Yimin Temple is located very close to Chaoshan Temple. During the Qing Dynasty, the Lin Shuangwen and Dai Chaochun rebellions occurred one after another, and the Yimin soldiers from Beigang fought bravely to protect their homeland. After the disturbances were settled, local residents enshrined the fallen martyrs in the "Jingyi Pavilion." After several renovations, it was renamed "Yimin Temple," becoming a historical site that combines both a tomb and a temple, where later generations come to pay their respects.
