Chengqian Beach Introduction
Located in Chengqian Village, Baisha Township in the northern part of Taiwan, right in front is the inner sea of Penghu, where there is a tranquil Chengqian Beach. Chengqian Beach has a lower elevation and a crescent-shaped shoreline, sheltered from the northeast monsoon, making it one of the few beaches in Penghu that is unaffected during winter. It is also minimally impacted by human activity, boasting a natural coastline and rich intertidal ecology. From here, one can see Magong City, Zhongtun Wind Turbines, Xiyu, and Dakang Island. The beach features comfortable shell sand, a gently sloping terrain, and intertidal zones. During low tide, a vast area of the intertidal zone is exposed for activities. Adjacent to it is Chengqian Fishing Port, which is small in scale, where small fishing boats and oyster rafts can be seen docked. From here, one can observe a large expanse of oyster racks, and at low tide, fishermen can be seen carrying their gear to maintain the racks. Chengqian and Jiangmei oysters in this area are famous and delicious. In an unobtrusive corner of Chengqian Beach, there is also a sand spit shaped like a hook, surrounded by the vast intertidal zone. The stunning scenery of Chengqian Beach, with its significant tidal differences, offers a unique coastline, perfect for beachcombing and exploring the intertidal zone. [Recommended stay time] 0.5 hours.
