Jiangmei Town Haisha Community Seawall Park Introduction
The former name of Jiangmei is "Gangwei," which is located at the end of Zhenhai Harbor. In the early days, villagers lived in clusters, leading to the establishment of a settlement named Gangwei, officially renamed "Jiangmei" in 1955. The Jiangmei Zhenhai Community Coastal Park connects the Jiangmei and Zhenhai communities. In May 1999, under the promotion of the overall development of Jiangmei and Zhenhai communities in Baisha Township, a community logo designed in the shape of "OK" was created for this coastal park, adding an interesting and memorable landmark to the area. The well-known Taiwanese band Mayday has also recorded programs here and sung a song called "OK la," which resonates well with this location. The Jiangmei OK logo is based on cement materials, decorated with local materials such as basalt stone from Penghu. After passing the Yong'an Bridge along County Road 203, visitors can notice this OK logo nestled behind a low wall and greenery. There are also wooden stairs and a gazebo observation platform nearby, allowing visitors to take a break and enjoy the ocean view, experiencing a moment of tranquility and leisure. Crossing the coastal path, one is greeted by a vast, expansive view of the shell sand beach. The daily changes in tides allow the scenery of this coastal park to showcase different aspects. During high tide, the finely polished shell beach and the clear, blue water lie quietly in this area, rising and falling with the wind and waves. Looking at the distant sea, one can vaguely see Pingji Island and one of the hidden gems, the Jiangmei Sea Garrison, each occupying a corner of the sea, existing in solitude yet beautifully. 【Recommended stay time】1 hour
