Hemei Fishing Port Introduction
Hemei Fishing Port is located near Sandiao Cape on the northeastern coast of New Taipei City. The coastline here is relatively simple due to the subsidence of the coast and uneven uplift, combined with the influence of the northeast monsoon. As a result, wave action has created significant coastal erosion, making sea cliffs common in the area. From Jinshan to Sandiao Cape, the geological layers run perpendicular to the coast, and the erosive action of seawater is quite evident. Softer rocks are eroded to form bays that easily accumulate sand to create beaches, while harder rocks protrude above the sea to form capes. The repetitive arrangement of capes and bays makes it the most diverse cape and bay coastline in Taiwan.
