Hamay Fishing Port is located near Sandiaojiao in the northeastern corner of New Taipei City. The coastline here has relatively simple variations. Due to the subsidence of the coast and uneven uplift, coupled with the impact of the northeast monsoon, waves in this area create coastal erosion, resulting in sea cliffs that are commonly seen. From Jinshan to Sandiaojiao, the geological layers are oriented perpendicular to the coastline, with the effects of seawater erosion being quite evident. Softer rock areas are eroded to form bays, which easily accumulate sand to create beaches, while harder rock areas jut out above the sea, forming capes. The repeated arrangement of capes and bays makes this coastline the most diverse in all of Taiwan.

Hemei Fishing Port Introduction

Hemei Fishing Port is located near Sandiao Cape in the northeastern corner of New Taipei City. The coastline in this area is relatively simple due to subsidence and uneven uplift, along with the influence of the northeast monsoon, which causes wave erosion. As a result, sea cliffs are commonly seen. From Jinshan to Sandiao Cape, the geological strata trend perpendicular to the coastline, with clear evidence of seaside erosion. Softer rock areas are eroded to form bays and are prone to sand accumulation, resulting in beaches, while harder rock areas protrude above the sea, forming capes. The repetitive arrangement of capes and bays makes this the most varied coastal region in Taiwan.
