Xianwu Benpu Introduction
In the 1960s, Gongliao Seaside, located next to the Pacific Ocean, became the base for Taiwan's abalone farming industry. The clear water and good environment allowed Gongliao's abalones to be fresh and delicious. However, in the 1990s, the industry suffered a heavy blow due to bacterial infections. In recent years, the second generation of aquaculture has returned to Gongliao, adopting a semi-open breeding environment that utilizes natural tides to provide consistent water exchange in tidal pools that connect with seawater, recreating the glory of the "Abalone Kingdom."
