Xinshe Mazu, also known as Xinshe Ma, is the main deity enshrined at the Xiluo Xintian Temple, with the incense coming from the Beigang Chaotian Temple. In addition, the residents also worship a Sanjiekong furnace (the Three Officials). The name Xinshe indicates that this area was once the traditional living realm of the Pingpu people of the Xiluo tribe.
