Shenkeng Futen Temple Introduction
Shekou Mazu, connecting a century-old pilgrimage route. The Shekou Futen Temple, which enshrines Mazu, is commonly referred to as Shekou Mazu. It is said that this temple was built during the Qianlong period, when a local merchant traveled to Puzi for trade and witnessed the miracles of the Holy Mother of Puzi. He then sought incense and offerings to bring back to the village for worship. Consequently, the followers of Shekou have traditionally traveled to the Peitian Temple in Puzi to pay their respects and offer incense.
