Bishan Introduction
Climbing to the highest peak in Matsu, Biyue Mountain, which is 298 meters above sea level, offers a panoramic view of Beigan Island. By reaching the observation platform on Biyue Mountain, visitors can overlook the entire landscape of Beigan Island. Tourists who enjoy hiking can choose to ascend via the east direction from Tangqi Village along the mountain trail, or take one of the two shorter trails connecting the upper village to Qinjingbi, which are easier and take about 30 minutes to reach the summit. From the observation platform located halfway up the mountain, the view on a clear day is breathtaking. You can see Beigan Airport, Tangqi Village, and even the distant uninhabited islands of Dakou and Xiaokou, showcasing magnificent scenery. This spot is not only a must-visit for photography enthusiasts in Matsu but also the best location for capturing planes taking off and landing at Beigan Airport. Note: The winds on Biyue Mountain can be strong, so be cautious when riding a motorcycle; some areas are still military zones, so please avoid pointing your camera towards military sites to prevent any disputes.
