Climbing to the highest peak of Matsu, Bihshan, which stands at an elevation of 298 meters, provides a panoramic view of Beigan Island. Visitors can enjoy the entire landscape of Beigan Island from the Bihshan viewing platform. For hiking enthusiasts, there are two trails to reach the viewing platform: one from Tangqi Village heading east and the other from the opposite end connecting Shung Village to Qinyi. These trails are shorter and have less difficult slopes, allowing hikers to reach the top in about 30 minutes. From the viewing platform located halfway up the mountain, the scenery is breathtaking on clear days, offering views of Beigan Airport, Tangqi Village, Houwo, and even the distant uninhabited islands of Dachiu and Xiao Chiu. This magnificent scenery makes it a must-visit spot for photographers and the best location for capturing the takeoffs and landings at Beigan Airport. Note: Strong winds can be expected at Bihshan, so riders should pay special attention to safety; some areas are still military zones, so please avoid photographing military sites to prevent any disputes.
