Bishan Introduction
Climbing the highest mountain in Matsu, Biyue Mountain, which rises to an elevation of 298 meters, offers a panoramic view of Beigan Island. From the Biyue Mountain observation deck, you can admire the entire landscape of Beigan Island. For hiking enthusiasts, there are two paths to reach the observation deck: one from Tangqi Village heading east along a mountain trail, and the other connecting up to Qinqu Village and Qinshi with shorter trails that have fewer challenging slopes, taking about 30 minutes to reach the summit. Standing at the observation deck on the mountainside, on clear days, the view is expansive, showcasing the scenery of Beigan Airport, Tangqi Village, and even the distant uninhabited islands of Daqiu and Xiaoqiu. The stunning landscape is not only a must-see for photography aficionados but also the best spot for capturing the takeoffs and landings at Beigan Airport. Note: The winds on Biyue Mountain can be strong, so motorcyclists should exercise caution; certain areas remain military zones, so please avoid photographing military sites to prevent disputes.
