Initially, the owner’s wife sold vegetables in the market, while the owner worked as a taxi driver. Later, due to the decrease in the number of soldiers on the island and the completion of Matsu Airport, they transitioned to selling food and have been in business for six years now. Beikang Tang focuses on seafood dishes with a Min Dong flavor, as well as local Matsu specialties. The red yeast used in the restaurant is brewed by the owner’s wife, giving it a unique flavor that is worth experiencing firsthand. The restaurant accommodates walk-in customers, groups, and banquet meals, but since the head chef is solely the owner’s wife, it is recommended that guests make a reservation in advance.
