At first, the owner’s wife sold vegetables at the market, while the owner worked as a taxi driver. Later, due to the decrease in the number of soldiers on the island and the establishment of Matsu Airport, they transformed the business into a restaurant, which has now been operating for six years. Beigan Tang focuses on seafood dishes with a Fujian Eastern flavor, as well as Matsu specialty cuisine. The red yeast used in the restaurant is brewed by the owner’s wife herself, offering a unique taste that is worth experiencing in person. They accept walk-in customers, groups, and banquet meals, but since the owner’s wife is the only one in the kitchen, it is recommended to call ahead to make a reservation.
