Initially, the owner sold vegetables in the market while her husband worked as a taxi driver. Later, due to the decrease in the number of soldiers on the island and the completion of Matsu Airport, they transitioned to the food and beverage business, and they have been operating for six years now. Beigan Tang mainly offers seafood dishes with a Min Dong flavor, as well as Matsu-style cuisine. The red yeast rice used in the restaurant is brewed by the owner, giving it a unique taste that is worth experiencing in person. The restaurant accepts walk-in customers, groups, and banquet reservations, but since the owner is the sole chef, it is recommended for diners to call ahead to make a reservation.
