In the central part of Aokou, north of Qinbi Village, there is a prominent granite reef that resembles a large sea turtle lying on the water's surface due to its unique rock formations. As a result, the locals refer to it as "Turtle Island." Surrounding Turtle Island, the water is crystal clear and mirror-like, which has contributed to the prosperity of Qinbi Village, known as "Mirror Bay." According to legend, this site has excellent feng shui, and local residents believe that many folk tales and beliefs originate from Turtle Island, thus considering it one of the village's treasures. Each year in April and May, it is one of the best spots to witness the phenomenon of "blue tears." Legend of the Black Stone Tablet If you have a pair of binoculars or a camera in hand, don't forget to use a telephoto lens to get a closer look. You will discover a black stone tablet on the island, inscribed with the words "Plant Banyan, Gather Wealth." It is said that around 1994, following the instructions of the deity of the Tianhou Temple, residents erected the stone tablet with the inscriptions "Plant Banyan, Gather Wealth" and "Donor's Name Stone Tablet." Over the past 20 years, Qinbi Village has gradually become a popular tourist destination in Matsu, attracting more and more visitors with its unique customs and cultural features!
