Dili Catholic Church Introduction

The villagers of Dili, like other Bunun groups, adhere to either Christianity or Catholicism, and the village has places of worship for both denominations. The Catholic church in Dili Village has been established for over 50 years, and it is said that more than 80% of villagers in their 30s and 40s were delivered by nuns in a single-story building above the church. This is quite an interesting record in Taiwan. The brick church is situated on a green lawn surrounded by trees and flowers, simple yet exuding a sense of stability that prompts visitors to unconsciously lighten their steps and behave respectfully. Near the church, there is an herb garden; in addition to being used as cooking and pastry ingredients, nuns guide local women in making and selling herbal sachets to increase villagers' income. Below the church, there is a basketball court, which serves as a place for the athletic indigenous population to spend many youthful years filled with vibrant energy.
