Ren-Cheng Temple Ksitigarbha Hall Introduction
From the Geographic Center Monument in Puli Township, Nantou County, looking northwest, one can see a serene and majestic temple with green tiles and white walls nestled among the sprawling farmlands and distant mountains. This is the renowned Junsheng Temple Jizō Hall. Upon entering the mountain gate, the elegantly constructed buildings follow the terrain, providing a sense of purification from worldly troubles. Ascending the steps, one encounters a towering bronze statue of Jizō Bodhisattva in the main hall on the first floor. On the second floor stands a beautifully carved cypress wood statue of Jizō Bodhisattva, centrally located in the hall, radiating compassion, majesty, and completeness. The temple’s Zen Garden—“Pure and Cool Garden”—is lush with flowers and trees, presenting a clean and elegant environment. This Zen forest preserves the appearance of the original woodland and serves not only as an excellent place for meditation but also as a habitat for many species of birds under conservation. The forest features lifelike Buddhist art stone carvings and thought-provoking inscriptions, allowing participants to immerse themselves in the Dharma, attain mental clarity, and inspire their good roots.
