Renqing Temple Ksitigarbha Monastery Introduction
From the Geographic Center Monument in Puli Township, Nantou County, looking toward the northwest, a serene and majestic temple with green tiles and white walls stands proudly at the junction of sprawling farmlands and distant mountains. This is the renowned Jen Chang Temple Ksitigarbha Hall. Entering through the mountain gate, the elegantly constructed buildings, harmonizing with the mountainous terrain, provide a sense of cleansing from worldly burdens. Ascending the steps, one is greeted by a tall copper statue of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva in the main hall on the first floor. Moving up to the second floor, a meticulously carved hinoki wood statue of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva stands in the center of the hall, exuding compassion, dignity, and completeness. The temple's Zen Forest, known as the "Pure and Cool Garden," is lush with flowering plants and greenery, creating a clean and elegant environment. The Zen Forest preserves the charm of the original forest, making it not only an excellent place for meditation but also a habitat for various wildlife conservation birds. Intricate stone carvings of Buddhist art and thought-provoking teachings within the woods allow participants to navigate through the ocean of Dharma, attaining a serene mind and inspiring virtuous roots.
