Renchen Temple Ksitigarbha Monastery Introduction
From the geographical center marker in Puli Township, Nantou County, looking to the northwest where the vast farmlands meet the distant mountains, stands a serene and majestic temple with green tiles and white walls - this is the renowned Rencheng Temple Ksitigarbha Monastery. Entering through the mountain gate, the elegantly constructed buildings following the terrain provide a sense of cleansing from worldly burdens. Ascending the steps, one encounters a towering bronze statue of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva enshrined in the main hall of the first floor. Moving up to the second floor, one finds a meticulously carved statue of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva made of cypress wood, standing gracefully in the center of the hall, embodying compassion, solemnity, and completeness. The monastery's Zen forest, known as "Li Gou Qing Liang Garden," is filled with flourishing plants and lush greenery, creating a tranquil and refined environment. This Zen forest preserves the original beauty of the primeval forest, making it not only an excellent place for meditation but also a habitat for various species of wild birds. The exquisitely crafted Buddhist art stone sculptures and thought-provoking Dharma phrases within the forest allow participants to drift through the ocean of Dharma, cleansing their hearts and inspiring their good roots.
