Maolin Entrance Image Park Introduction
Maolin Entrance Imagery Park is located on County Road 132 in Maolin District. Originally the office of the Maolin National Scenic Area, it has been rebuilt into the "Maolin Entrance Imagery Park." Visitors to this park can enjoy a distant view of the Dele Ri Gua Bridge, the third highest in Taiwan, and appreciate the beauty of modern architectural craftsmanship. The park features simple resting facilities, serving as a stopping point during tourists' itineraries, allowing visitors to take a short break. The entrance sculpture area retains three flagpoles that were not washed away by the storm as a memorial, symbolizing the spirit of resilience and steadfastness in adversity. The installation art of three flying purple butterflies represents the three villages of Maolin District, signifying transformation, new beginnings, and hope for a bright future. At night, the park is illuminated with dazzling light projections, creating a unique ambiance. It is recommended to spend about 30 minutes here, where visitors can relax in the park's pavilions or shaded stone benches while enjoying the scenery along the riverbanks.
