Dachi Waterfall Introduction
The entrance to Daqin Waterfall is located in Xinfeng Village, Gaoshu Township, beside County Road 185, around 2 kilometers into the mountain road. It is commonly known as "Awu Waterfall," "Weiliao Waterfall," or "Xinfeng Waterfall." The waterfall has five levels, with the first and second levels being more accessible, featuring well-established trails. The dense tree canopy acts like a natural umbrella, often attracting many visitors. The waterfall is approximately 20 meters high, cascading down at a 90-degree angle, resembling white silk hanging down the cliff. The valley is not large, but the thick foliage enhances the atmosphere with the sound of rushing water. Climbing up to the pavilion for a distant view of Pingtung's greenery is a must-see for visitors. It is recommended to stay for about one hour; excluding rest time, it takes around 20-30 minutes of walking to reach the waterfall. Since the third, fourth, and fifth levels of the waterfall are located deep in the forest and are less accessible, they are seldom visited, and snakes and insects may be present. For those wishing to venture there, it is best to have complete equipment and to pay attention to personal safety.
