Maolin Valley / Romus Creek Trail Introduction
Maolin Valley Waterfall is located at the end of the Lumusu Creek Trail in Maolin District. The entrance to the Lumusu Creek Trail is about 0.8 kilometers from the Lumusu Bridge, where you turn right according to the signs. "Lumusu" in the Rukai language means "beautiful valley," and it is a tributary of the Zhuokou River. As the trail meanders with the terrain, visitors can enjoy the magnificent canyon views, lush green forests, and butterflies fluttering about, accompanied by the soothing sound of flowing water, providing a refreshing experience. The entire trail is 4 kilometers long, but currently only 1.2 kilometers is open. After passing through a series of bamboo tunnels, you will reach the Maolin Valley Waterfall, which is grand and majestic; witnessing such beauty in person is enough to forget your worries. It is recommended to spend about 1.5 hours here, and please be cautious of mosquitoes and insects along the way.
