Maolin Valley/Loumu Creek Trail Introduction

Maolin Valley Waterfall is located at the end of the Lumusu Creek Trail in Maolin District. The entrance to the Lumusu Creek Trail can be reached by turning right about 0.8 kilometers after crossing the Lumusu Bridge along the Lumusu Access Road. "Lumusu" in the Rukai language means "beautiful valley" and is a tributary of the Zhiqu River. The trail meanders with the mountain terrain, allowing visitors to enjoy the scenic gorge view, lush green forests, and abundant butterflies, accompanied by the soothing sound of the flowing creek, creating a refreshing atmosphere. The entire trail is 4 kilometers long, but currently only 1.2 kilometers is open. After passing through a series of bamboo groves, you will arrive at Maolin Valley Waterfall. The waterfall is majestically grand, and witnessing such beauty in person is worth forgetting your worries. It is recommended to spend about 1.5 hours here, and please be cautious of mosquitoes and insects along the way.
