Maolin Valley / Romuisi Creek Trail Introduction
Maolin Valley Waterfall is located at the end of the Lumusu Creek Trail in the Maolin District. The entrance to the Lumusu Creek Trail is approximately 0.8 kilometers past the Lumusu Bridge on the Lumusu Linking Road, where you will turn right as indicated. "Lumusu" in the Rukai language means "beautiful valley," and it is a tributary of the Zhuokou Creek. As you walk along the winding trail, you can enjoy the breathtaking canyon scenery, lush green forests, and butterflies fluttering around, accompanied by the soothing sound of flowing water, providing a refreshing experience. The entire trail is 4 kilometers long, but currently, only 1.2 kilometers is open. After passing through a series of bamboo groves, you will reach the majestic Maolin Valley Waterfall, a sight so stunning that it merits forgetting your troubles. It is recommended to spend about 1.5 hours here, and please be cautious as there may be mosquitoes and insects along the way.
