Longtoushan Introduction
Longtou Mountain is located near Provincial Highway 132 in Maolin District, approximately 12 km away. The area of Longtou Mountain is about 22 hectares and is a precious example of a circular hilltop terrain, surrounded by high mountains on three sides, with streams flowing in a winding manner. The river water is clear, and along its course, there are bizarre rocks and sheer cliffs, forming ridges akin to a dragon's spine, making the entire terrain resemble a reclining dragon. Groups of eagles can often be seen soaring around the cliffs or gliding along the valleys, which is why it was originally named "Eagle Valley." Due to long-term erosion, the flowing water has split the hill into two segments, and from a distance, it appears as if a giant dragon is spitting pearls, hence it is also known as "Dragon Spitting Pearl." By taking a path on the side, one can reach the top of Longtou Mountain, where there is a stone pavilion, offering a panoramic view from the peak.
