Longtou Mountain Recreation Area Introduction
Longtou Mountain Recreation Area is located at the 12-kilometer mark of County Road 132 in Maolin District. The area includes attractions such as Eagle Valley, Longtou Mountain circular hills, Douna Bridge, Longtou Mountain Little Great Wall Trail, Douna Suspension Bridge, and Shetou Mountain. The Little Great Wall Trail is paved along the ridge, making it easy for the general public to walk. The midpoint offers a broad view of the distant mountain scenery. Continuing downhill leads to Douna Suspension Bridge, which is 232 meters long and was an important transportation route for the early Douna tribe. The bridge is adorned with colorful indigenous totem paintings, adding to its brilliance and uniqueness, making it a great place for leisure outings on weekends. It takes about 30 minutes to walk the Longtou Mountain Trail, and if one is willing to spend an additional half hour, they can also hike to Douna Suspension Bridge to enjoy the beautiful view of the valley.
