Longtou Mountain Recreation Area Introduction
Longtou Mountain Recreation Area is located 12 kilometers along County Road 132 in Maolin District. The area includes attractions such as Eagle Valley, Longtou Mountain circular hills, Donar Bridge, Longtou Mountain Minor Great Wall Trail, Donar High Suspended Bridge, and Shetou Mountain. The Longtou Mountain Minor Great Wall Trail is paved along the ridge and has a gentle path, making it suitable for the general public. The mid-section offers wide views of the surrounding mountains. Continuing down the trail leads to the Donar High Suspended Bridge, which is 232 meters long and was once an important transportation route for the Donar Tribe. The bridge is adorned with vibrant indigenous totem paintings, making it a striking feature and an excellent spot for leisure and hiking on weekends. The Longtou Mountain Trail can be completed in about 30 minutes, and with an additional half hour, one can also walk to the Donar High Suspended Bridge for a panoramic view of the valley.
