Longtou Mountain Recreation Area Introduction
Longtou Mountain Recreation Area is located at the 12-kilometer mark of County Road 132 in Maolin District. The area includes attractions such as Eagle Valley, Longtou Mountain's unique drumlin topography, Donna Bridge, Longtou Mountain's Little Great Wall Trail, Donna High Suspension Bridge, and Shetou Mountain. The Little Great Wall Trail of Longtou Mountain is laid out along the ridge, featuring a gentle and easy path suitable for the general public. The mid-section offers expansive views, allowing visitors to enjoy the distant mountain scenery. Continuing down the path leads to Donna High Suspension Bridge, which spans 232 meters and was an important transportation route for the early Donna tribe. The bridge is adorned with colorful Indigenous totem paintings, making it vibrant and unique, perfect for a leisure trip on weekends. A 30-minute walk will take you through the Longtou Mountain Trail, and if you are willing to spend an additional half-hour, you can reach the Donna High Suspension Bridge for a breathtaking view of the gorge.
