Longtou Mountain Recreation Area Introduction
Longtou Mountain Recreation Area is located 12 kilometers along County Road 132 in Maolin District. The area includes attractions such as Eagle Valley, the Longtou Mountain Circulation Hill Terrain, Donar Bridge, Longtou Mountain Little Great Wall Trail, Donar High Suspension Bridge, and Shetoushan. The Little Great Wall Trail of Longtou Mountain is laid along the ridge line, providing a gentle and easy hiking experience suitable for the general public. Walking to the middle section offers a broad view, where distant mountain scenery can be fully appreciated. Continuing downward leads to the Donar High Suspension Bridge, which is 232 meters long and was an important transportation route for the earlier Donar tribe. The bridge is decorated with vibrant indigenous totem paintings, making it quite eye-catching and distinctive, making it a great spot for leisure walks on holidays. A 30-minute walk can complete the Longtou Mountain Trail, and if you're willing to spend an additional half hour, you can reach the Donar High Suspension Bridge for a stunning view of the valley.
