Warrior Fortress Introduction
Yongshi Fort, one of the three forts in Lieyu, covers a vast area. To enter the fort, visitors must cross a small bridge that spans a three-meter-deep trench and a gentle slope. Behind the camouflage netting is a large gate inscribed with the name "Yongshi Fort," highlighting the tense atmosphere of Lieyu when it was on the front line. Yongshi Fort is divided into two levels. The upper level mainly consists of gun emplacements, a Zhongshan room, and dormitories; the underground section features eight machine gun bunkers, four ammunition depots, and a fire pool. Notably, there is also a tank bunker. Inside the fort, there are several hundred meters of underground tunnels that connect the main military facilities beneath the surface and link to the similarly open Iron Fort. The connection has been transformed into a land mine exhibition hall, allowing visitors to experience moving underground.
