Wei Lu Introduction
"Wei Lu" is the former residence of Hong Shou, an assistant instructor at the Imperial Academy during the Ming Dynasty. Hong Shou, courtesy name Feng Ming, was from Xihong in Kinmen. He was well-educated and served as a professor in local schools early in his career, with many of his students achieving success in the imperial examinations. He was highly regarded in the scholarly community and was referred to as "Master." In August of the 56th year of the Republic of China, Chiang Ching-kuo visited this place and instructed that it be developed into a scenic area. He also ordered the restoration of the remaining Xihong relics and the ancient Minnan "Wei Lu" house with its unique four-eave roof structure in the garden.
