Huguo Temple Introduction
Introduction: Today's Xinshi Village was originally a sandy area. After the 38th year of the Republic of China, a large number of military forces were stationed in Kinmen. In the 43rd year of the Republic of China, under military supervision, the streets of Xinshi were constructed to encourage citizens to live and do business here. Due to the outbreak of the 82nd Airborne Artillery Battle in the 47th year, many residents from the northern coastal villages of Kinmen migrated in large numbers, which accelerated the prosperity of the Xinshi streets. "Having temples and ancestral homes creates a community." As the new community was formed, temples began to be built. The Huguo Temple was founded in the 66th year of the Republic of China against this backdrop, with the Main Hall dedicated to Amitabha Buddha, Guanyin Bodhisattva, Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, and two Wei Tuo Bodhisattva statues. The second floor of the rear hall houses the Sanbao Hall, dedicated to Shakyamuni Buddha, Manjushri Bodhisattva, and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva. Before the establishment of the Zhongyi Temple, Guansheng Dijun was also enshrined in the right side temple. In the 92nd year of the Republic of China, Huguo Temple was renovated, and the work was completed in the 95th year.
