Naruwan Hotel Hualien Introduction

A themed leisure hotel that showcases the traditional cultural characteristics of Indigenous peoples in a fashionable way, providing guests with a space rich in culture. Each floor features nine rooms representing nine different Indigenous groups, designed based on the characteristics, culture, and specialties of each group, transforming numerous Indigenous symbols into spatial elements. Within the dynamic space, the simplest elements are arranged, seeking innovative methods within tradition. The interior is adorned with a variety of Indigenous art pieces, including wood carvings, stone sculptures, embroidery, and paintings, many of which are the works of Mr. Lee Guang-hsiung, father of musical master Lee Tai-hsiang. Mr. Lee Guang-hsiung was also the mentor of Mr. Yuan Zhi-kuan, the creator of various Indigenous sculptures at the Hualien Aster Hotel. An esteemed master of the 1950s and 60s, his wood carvings at the hotel reception and in each room illuminate the simple and rustic lifestyle of Indigenous peoples, encompassing hunting and farming traditions. The unique style of Indigenous culture makes you feel as if you have stepped into a mythical realm the moment you enter the Naruwan Hotel in Hualien... While enjoying leisure time, you will also experience the sincere and attentive service that reflects the genuine warmth of Indigenous hospitality.
