Nalu Bay Hotel Hualien Introduction
A themed leisure hotel showcasing the fashionable characteristics of indigenous traditional culture, providing guests with a space rich in cultural depth. Each floor features nine rooms representing nine different ethnic groups, designed based on the characteristics, cultures, and specialties of these groups, transforming numerous symbols belonging to indigenous peoples into spatial elements. In this dynamic environment, we seek the simplest arrangements of elements, exploring innovative methods within tradition. The interior is adorned with various indigenous artworks, including wood carvings, stone sculptures, embroidery, and paintings, many of which are the works of Mr. Lee Kuang-shiong, the father of music master Mr. Lee Tai-hsiang. Mr. Lee Kuang-shiong is also the mentor of Mr. Yuan Chih-kwan, the creator of indigenous carvings at the Hualien Asto Hotel. Mr. Lee Kuang-shiong was a master in the 1950s and 60s, with wooden carvings at the hotel reception and in each room filled with his works, reflecting the ancient simplicity of indigenous lifestyles, hunting, and agriculture. The unique style of indigenous culture makes you feel as if you have stepped into a mythical realm the moment you enter the Naruwan Hotel in Hualien. Amidst relaxation, our sincere and considerate service also allows you to experience the simple warmth of indigenous hospitality.
