Naruowan Hotel Hualien Introduction
A theme leisure hotel that showcases indigenous traditional cultural characteristics in a fashionable style, providing guests with a space rich in culture. Each floor features nine rooms representing nine different ethnic groups, designing nine types of suites based on the characteristics, culture, and expertise of each group. Many symbols belonging to indigenous peoples are transformed into spatial elements, seeking the simplest arrangement of elements in the diverse space, finding innovative methods within tradition. The interior displays various indigenous art pieces, including wood carvings, stone sculptures, textile art, and paintings, many of which are works by Mr. Li Guangxiong, the father of music master Li Taixiang. Mr. Li Guangxiong is also the mentor of Mr. Yuan Zhikuan, the artist behind the indigenous carvings at Hualien Atlantis Hotel. He was a master in the 1950s and 60s, and the wood carvings at the hotel reception and in each room are filled with his works, guiding guests through the simple pleasures of indigenous lifestyles, hunting, and farming.
