Inside, various artworks, including indigenous wood carvings, stone sculptures, embroidery, and paintings, are displayed, many of which are created by Mr. Li Guangxiong, the father of musical master Li Taixiang. Mr. Li Guangxiong was also the mentor of Mr. Yuan Zhikuan, the creator of the indigenous carvings at Hualien Astor Hotel. A master of the 1950s and 1960s, his wooden carvings at the hotel reception and in every room reflect the indigenous lifestyle, evoking the simplicity of hunting and farming.
