Naruwan Hotel Hualien Introduction
A theme leisure hotel that showcases indigenous traditional cultural characteristics in a modern fashion, providing guests with a space rich in culture. Each floor features nine rooms representing nine different tribes, designed with the characteristics, culture, and expertise of each tribe in mind, transforming various indigenous symbols into spatial elements. In this dynamic space, we seek the simplest arrangements of elements, finding innovative methods within tradition. The interior is adorned with a variety of indigenous artworks, including wood carvings, stone sculptures, embroidery, and paintings, many of which are created by Mr. Li Guangxiong, the father of music master Mr. Li Taixiang. Mr. Li Guangxiong was also the mentor of Mr. Yuan Zhikuan, who created various indigenous carvings at the Hualien Astotel Hotel. Mr. Li Guangxiong was a master in the 1950s and 1960s, with wooden carvings at the hotel reception and throughout each room showcasing his works, reflecting the traditional lifestyle, hunting, and farming of indigenous peoples. The unique style of indigenous culture makes you feel as if you have stepped into a legendary myth the moment you enter the Naruwan Hotel in Hualien.
