Ocean Ramen Introduction
Flavor is the best way to evoke feelings of home, and Ocean Ramen is a place that offers authentic hometown tastes for both myself and the people of Taiwan. Born in Fukuoka, Japan, Mr. Tanaka grew up eating Hakata ramen. At the age of 23, he came to Taiwan for work and fell in love with the weather and the warmth of the people, but he could not find the familiar taste of ramen. Longing for it, he decided to make it himself. Thus, he apprenticed under a Japanese master chef to learn the art of cooking. The essence of Japanese ramen lies in the broth and the noodles. The rich broth requires at least 8 hours of continuous simmering, while the noodles need to be quickly cooked in boiling water.
