Flower Shallow Green Introduction
Brunch Osteria, located at the corner of Zhongyi Street and Changrong Street, is both a brunch spot and an Italian restaurant. The simplest way to define it is that it offers an all-day brunch combined with Italian cuisine. The chef has worked in Taipei's dining industry for eight years and has entered the Chiayi food scene with Fusion Cuisine (international creative dishes). The term "Osteria" indicates a focus on Italian cuisine, but the restaurant name "Hua Qian Cong" comes from Japanese kimono color palettes, creating combinations like the most popular "Charcoal Grilled Mentaiko Smoked Salmon Pasta," a Japanese-style Italian dish that is never boring. Classics can also be reinterpreted; the chef puts a twist on the traditional Italian Carbonara by adding salted egg yolk to enhance flavor and balancing the saltiness with pumpkin, even daringly cutting the bacon into thick pieces for a more robust texture. But the fun doesn't stop with Italian dishes; under the owner's suggestion, the Dutch oven waffles are offered in a Taiwanese-style "Taro Paste with Salted Egg Yolk and Pork Floss" flavor, which has become very popular!
