Nanxin Food Store Introduction
Established in 1953, Jiaxiangwei has been a beloved establishment in Chiayi for half a century. We select fresh ingredients to handcraft nutritious and delicious treats, inheriting the pastry skills learned by my father during the Japanese colonial period. Our offerings have evolved from the original yokan to include steamed buns, snowflake pastries, sweet potatoes, and innovative square pastries. Among them, the nostalgic Nankin snowflake pastry features high-quality butter as filling and is available in lemon and pineapple flavors. Topped with a layer of powdered sugar, it resembles snowflakes and melts in your mouth, making it delightful to enjoy even when frozen in the summer, akin to an ice cream cake.
