Dejia Xiang Food Store Introduction
Founded over forty years ago, Yijiaxiang is a famous old shop in Yonghe known for its meat products. The five main offerings in the shop—meat paper, jerky, pork floss, meat candy, and shredded pork—make for great gifts during the holidays and are also popular choices for office workers and businesses in the surrounding area. The most famous product, Yijiaxiang's pork floss, is one of the classic creations by owner Liu Xinyuan. Every day, they carefully select fresh pork hind leg meat from the market, which is then meticulously trimmed of fat and membrane before being boiled for three hours until tender. Afterward, the meat is pounded by hand, marinated with their special seasoning, and stir-fried over low heat until completely cooked through and flavorful—no detail is overlooked in the process. This traditional method is highly appreciated by food lovers, with customers from as far as Taipei coming specifically to purchase this earthly delight.
