Fude Waterwheel Park Introduction
Fude Waterwheel Park is a must-visit spot on the way to the North Coast and is the largest waterwheel park among the six waterwheel cultural landscape parks in Sanjhih. The park is located on the southern side of the Sanjhih bustling area, directly opposite the Sanjhih Visitor Center, covering an area of nearly 0.6 hectares. The main facilities include a large wooden guided waterwheel, a wooden waterwheel in front of the Tudi Gong Temple, an ecological sedimentation pond, a scenic bridge, a wooden platform for relaxation, a circular path around the park, and various plants. It integrates the three major themes of "tourism," "ecology," and "health," allowing visitors to enjoy the pure breaths of the mountains and forests, surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant life. Along the circular path, besides the large guided wooden waterwheel powered by an elevated aqueduct, there is also a sedimentation pond to maintain clean water sources, offering a view of diverse waterwheel sceneries and colorful plants that dance with the seasons. The waterwheel landscapes, scattered like artworks throughout Sanjhih, slowly turn in the water, telling the story and traces of early agricultural development, while adding a sense of tranquility and intellectual atmosphere.
