Fude Watermill Park Introduction

The Fude Waterwheel Park is a必經之地 on the way to the North Coast and is the largest waterwheel park among the six waterwheel cultural landscape parks in Sanjhih. The park is located to the south of the bustling area of Sanjhih, across from the Sanjhih Tourist Center, covering an area of nearly 0.6 hectares. Major facilities include a large wooden guided waterwheel, a wooden waterwheel in front of the Tudi Gong Temple, an ecological sedimentation pond, a scenic bridge, wooden rest platforms, a walking trail around the park, and various plants. It integrates the three main themes of “tourism,” “ecology,” and “health,” allowing visitors to enjoy the pure air of the mountains and forests, surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant life. Along the walking trail, in addition to the large guided wooden waterwheel that operates using elevated water channels, there is also a sedimentation pond that helps maintain clean water sources, allowing visitors to appreciate a variety of waterwheel landscapes and the colorful plants that change with the seasons. The waterwheel designs scattered throughout Sanjhih turn slowly and gracefully, telling the story and traces of early agricultural development while adding a tranquil and intellectual atmosphere.
