An American from Texas, Frank, was inspired by a Taiwanese person saying, "Money is easy to make in Taiwan," and resolutely bought a one-way ticket to Taiwan, with only 50 USD in his pocket. He first taught English in Taiwan and had taught the famous singer Zhang Limin in those days. Having lived in Taiwan for over twenty years, he loves Taiwan more than many locals. In 2000, he engaged in the timber trade, briefly lived in Shanghai, and had dreams of making a fortune in mainland China, but Taiwan has always been his favorite. In 2002, seeking the ideal living environment from his childhood dreams, away from the hustle and bustle, he traveled from Taipei to Xizhi and Tamsui, ultimately choosing Sanjhih.
