Hsiang Ting Tea Introduction
Since the first generation of the Zhou family started planting, harvesting, and producing tea, it has now reached the seventh generation. The sixth generation, Mr. Zhou Qingzong (who serves as a director of the Taiwan Tea Manufacturers' Association and the New Taipei City Tea Manufacturers' Association), has perfected the tea production techniques, participating in tea competitions and winning numerous awards. He has generously taught these skills to peers and passed them on to the next generations. Currently, they specialize in producing Dayuling tea, Lishan tea, Shanfong Creek tea, high mountain black tea, and the king of green tea, Biluochun. From tea garden management to harvesting and production, everything is personally overseen. The Zhou family is likely the only tea farmer in the Greater Taipei area that personally produces tea in the three major tea regions: Dayuling, Lishan, and Shanfong Creek. Each batch of tea produced in these regions ranges from about 2000 to 4000 Taiwanese catties, varying by region and production volume. About 95% of the tea is sold to tea shops and traders, and there are slight quality variations between batches. The higher quality teas are reserved for retail, ensuring that consumers receive only the finest quality products, and customers often praise their excellent value for money.
