Hsiang Ting Tea Introduction
Since the first generation of the Zhou family began planting, picking, and producing tea, it has now reached the seventh generation. The sixth generation, Mr. Zhou Qingzong, who has served as the director of the Taiwan Tea Manufacturers' Association and the New Taipei City Tea Manufacturers' Association, has further perfected the tea-making techniques, winning numerous awards in tea competitions. He generously shares his tea-making skills with peers and passes them on to the next generation. Currently, the family specializes in producing Dayuling tea, Lishan tea, Shanlinxi tea, High Mountain black tea, and the king of green tea, Biluo Chun. They manage everything from tea garden management to picking and tea production on-site. The Zhou family is likely the only tea farmer in the New Taipei area that personally produces tea in the three major tea regions of Dayuling, Lishan, and Shanlinxi. Each batch of tea produced from different tea regions ranges from about 2,000 to 4,000 Jin, depending on the region and production volume. About 95% of the tea is sold to tea houses and traders, and the quality of each batch may vary slightly. Those of high quality are retained for retail, ensuring that consumers can purchase top-quality tea, leading customers to praise it as affordable and of excellent quality.
