A fortune poem and six holy divinations led Yu Cheng Hsin to start the pastry business with the encouragement of Mazu. For half a century, from a novice to a renowned pastry expert in Taiwan, we have always adhered to our original intention: "to make those who care for us feel honored." Yu Cheng Hsin's pastries do not rely on exclusive recipes; they are made with a loving heart for our customers and a commitment to quality ingredients. To meet the needs of vegetarians and worshippers visiting the Dajia Mazu Temple, Yu Cheng Hsin switched to a recipe using natural butter instead of traditional lard for the pastry, thus creating the now-famous "butter pastry" and earning recognition as the hometown of butter pastry.
