A fortune poem and six sacred divinations led Yu Jin Xin to embark on a pastry-making endeavor, encouraged by Mazu. Over half a century, from a novice to a renowned pastry expert in Taiwan, we have always held onto our original intention: "to make those who care for us feel proud." Yu Jin Xin's pastries don't have any exclusive recipes; what we have is a heart that cares for our customers and a commitment to quality ingredients. To meet the needs of vegetarians and devotees visiting the Dajia Mazu Temple, Yu Jin Xin switched to a recipe using natural butter instead of traditional lard, which not only resulted in the famous "butter pastry" known far and wide today but also earned Yu Jin Xin the title of the hometown of butter pastries.
