Lin's Filial Piety Archway Introduction
The place was built by Lin, a woman from the Lin family. Lin is the daughter of Lin Guanghui from Zhongzhuang Village in Daan District. Due to poverty, she was given to the Yu family as a child bride shortly after birth. When Lin was twelve years old, her husband, Yu Rongchang, unfortunately drowned. Her father hoped she would return home and remarry. However, Lin Chun-niang could not bear to abandon her mother-in-law, so to support her, she worked diligently at spinning, weaving, and doing laundry for others. Although her income was meager, she remained hardworking and uncomplaining, often going without meals and saving good food for her mother-in-law, while she herself subsisted on rice porridge.
