Lin's Filial Piety Archway Introduction
This is a tribute to a devoted woman – built by the Lin family. Lin was the daughter of Lin Guanghui from Zhongzhuang Village in Daan District. Due to her family's poverty, she was given to the Yu family as a child bride shortly after her birth. When she was twelve, her husband Yu Rongchang unfortunately drowned. Her father hoped she would return home and remarry, but Lin Chun-niang could not bear to abandon her mother-in-law. To care for her mother-in-law, she worked diligently spinning and weaving, as well as doing laundry and housework for others. Although her income was meager, she remained hardworking and selfless, often going hungry and saving good food for her mother-in-law, while subsisting on porridge. Her filial piety remained steadfast, earning her the unanimous praise of the townsfolk. Guided tour: □ Yes ■ No □ Reservation required
