Yifeng Winter Melon Tea Introduction
Founded in the first year of the Republic of China, this is the only remaining traditional winter melon candy store in Tainan. The process of making winter melon tea does not involve any preservatives or chemical additives, resulting in a rich taste and a strong winter melon fragrance. Mr. Lin's sons were initially reluctant to take over, and Mr. Lin believed that this was a declining industry. However, his youngest son, Lin Kechuan, returned to manage the beverage store, and Mr. Lin was worried that the family business would end in his hands. Unexpectedly, the business found new development and flourished. Yi Feng Winter Melon Factory now has branches across Taiwan, all run by descendants of the Lin family. Yi Feng's winter melon tea has a unique caramel aroma and is still handmade today, so the production is limited. Those who wish to purchase winter melon syrup must make a reservation in advance to avoid missing out.
