Yifeng Winter Melon Tea Introduction
Founded in the first year of the Republic of China, this is the only remaining traditional winter melon candy shop in Tainan. During the process of boiling winter melon tea, no preservatives or chemical additives are used, resulting in a rich flavor and a strong winter melon aroma. Mr. Lin's sons were initially reluctant to take over, and Mr. Lin himself thought this was a declining industry. However, his youngest son, Lin Ke-chuan, returned to run the beverage shop, and instead of the family business ending with him, it surprisingly developed into something new. The Yifeng Winter Melon Factory has branches across Taiwan, all operated by descendants of the Lin family. Yifeng's winter melon tea has a unique caramel aroma and is still made by hand, so the production is limited. Those wishing to purchase winter melon tea must make an appointment in advance to avoid missing out at the counter.
