Yifeng Winter Melon Tea Introduction
Founded in the first year of the Republic of China, this is the only surviving traditional store in Tainan that produces winter melon candy. The process of brewing winter melon tea is done without any additives or preservatives, resulting in a rich flavor and abundant winter melon aroma. Initially, Mr. Lin's sons were reluctant to take over the business, and Mr. Lin felt that this was a fading industry. However, when his youngest son, Lin Ke-chuan, returned to manage the beverage shop, Mr. Lin was worried that the family business would end with him, but unexpectedly, the tradition saw new development. Yi Feng Winter Melon Factory now has branches all over Taiwan, all run by descendants of the Lin family. Yi Feng’s winter melon tea has a unique caramel aroma and is still handmade, resulting in limited production. Customers who wish to purchase winter melon extract must make a reservation in advance to avoid disappointment.
