Yifeng Winter Melon Tea Introduction
Founded in the first year of the Republic of China, this is the only remaining traditional store in Tainan that produces winter melon candy. The process of boiling winter melon tea is free from any preservatives or chemical additives, resulting in a rich flavor and an abundant winter melon aroma. Initially, Mr. Lin's sons were reluctant to take over the business, and Mr. Lin felt it was a sunset industry. However, his youngest son, Lin Kechuan, returned to operate the beverage shop. Mr. Lin Songshan was initially worried that the family heritage would end with him, but unexpectedly, the business developed positively. Yifeng Winter Melon Factory now has branches all over Taiwan, all managed by the descendants of the Lin family. Yifeng's winter melon tea has a unique caramel fragrance and is still handmade, which keeps production low. Customers are required to make reservations in advance if they wish to purchase winter melon tea to avoid disappointment.
