Dawan Peanut Candy has a history of over a century, emphasizing pure handmade production. It has been passed down through four generations, now led by the fourth-generation heir, Zheng Wansheng. The flagship store is established across from the historical site "Chihkan Tower" in Tainan City. It retains traditional flavors while enhancing environmental quality and hygiene in the store, evolving packaging to extend freshness. Upholding four generations of craftsmanship, the candy is made fresh daily, cut and sold on the spot, using fresh peanuts combined with low-sweetness maltose and high-quality granulated sugar. It is cooked over a wooden fire for more than an hour, with constant manual stirring to avoid burning, resulting in a texture that is more delicate and less sticky than machine-made peanut candy.
