Lao Deng Steamed Bun Shop Introduction
The first-generation settled in Xinying Paper Factory, having learned a full range of Cantonese cuisine from a young age, was hired as a chef at a guesthouse. Back in the day, President Yen Chia-kan, General He Yingqin, and Tainan County Magistrate Liu Bowan often designated Mr. Deng as the chef. Later on, he shifted to selling breakfast, retaining a strong flavor of mainland cuisine in his dishes while adhering to the principles of generous portions, chewy noodles, and authenticity. Now passed down to the second generation, the quality remains highly regarded.
