Black Bridge Sausage Museum Introduction
In 1957, Mr. Chen Wen-Hui, the founder of Heiqiao Foods, established a family-owned meat processing factory beside the Tainan Canal, commonly known as "Wuqiao" (now the Xinnan Bridge). The trademark "Heiqiao Qiao" was registered in 1973, and in 1979, the factory was expanded to the Anping Industrial Zone in Tainan, becoming Taiwan's first automated meat processing plant. In December 2009, it was officially renamed "Heiqiao Enterprise Co., Ltd.", and in 2012, the Heiqiao Sausage Museum, a tourist factory, was established, dedicated to educating about the meat processing industry and promoting the culture of native cuisine.
