Heichih Bacon Museum Introduction
In 1957, Mr. Chen Wenhui, the founder of Heiqiao Food, established a family-run meat processing factory near the Tainan Canal, commonly known as "Wuqiao" (now known as Xinnan Bridge). In 1973, the trademark "Heiqiao Qiao" was registered, and in 1979, the factory was expanded to the Anping Industrial Zone in Tainan, becoming Taiwan's first automated meat processing plant. In December 2009, it was officially renamed "Heiqiao Enterprise Co., Ltd." In 2012, the Heiqiao Sausage Museum, a tourist factory, was established, dedicated to education in the meat processing industry and the promotion of the culture of original local cuisine.
