Baodaxiang Sunflower Seeds Introduction

Insisting on Sun-Drying for a Taste of Sunshine: The Zengwen River used to be the largest sunflower seed production area in Taiwan, with Madou being the main manufacturing and wholesale hub. Baodaxiang is the original store for licorice sauce sunflower seeds. Celebrating three generations of family tradition, they continue to insist on the ancient sun-drying method to give the seeds a taste infused with sunshine. First, the seeds are soaked in water for a whole day, stirred periodically like a spa treatment. The next morning, they are lightly heated in a warm water bath, mixed with licorice and soy sauce. After cooking, the seeds are treated to a sunbath, and finally, they are mixed with coconut oil for a finishing touch. This entire production process takes one to two days. Low Sugar, Low Salt, Emphasis on Ingredients: While sunflower seeds can also be made using salad oil and machine drying, this method often results in an oily smell that can be unpleasant. Baodaxiang insists on the spa treatment, sun-drying, low sugar, and low salt, using higher-cost soy sauce and coconut oil.
