Chigu Da Shan Bird Watching Pavilion Introduction
The Qigu Ding Mountain area is mostly comprised of fish ponds and abandoned salt pans, providing ample food sources for birds and minimal human interference, resulting in rich birdlife. Common bird species include the Black-faced Spoonbill, the Black-bellied Tern, and the Eurasian Oystercatcher. The Ding Mountain Birdwatching Pavilion, established in 2017, is a two-story wooden structure designed for birdwatching. It features a sheltered design allowing views of birdlife from the east, south, west, and north, while offering different perspectives for observing the birds by the roadsides, on the water surface, in flight, and close to the water. The birdwatching pavilion is equipped with barrier-free facilities and a parking lot, enabling those with mobility issues to enjoy a complete birdwatching experience. The building has large viewing windows on all sides, with walls displaying bird identification panels that introduce the frequently spotted bird species in the area. Birdwatchers can gain a deeper understanding of the ecosystem through these panels. The well-planned Qigu Ding Mountain Birdwatching Pavilion is an excellent destination for families to connect with nature.
