Infusion Cake & Tea Shop Introduction
For Chang Chia-Hung, the manager of Infusion Cake and Tea House, the biggest challenge is pointing out the most recommended dish in the store. After seven years of experience in other counties, Chia-Hung returned to Chiayi City in 2016 and co-founded Infusion Cake and Tea House with pastry chef Lai Yi-Han on a small street known locally as "Meijie." The storefront features a large glass window intertwined with white frames, which divides the interior scenery into a series of warm and tranquil artworks. Upon entering this artistic world, the comfortable atmosphere and music casually float through the space, naturally guiding each guest to become an indispensable part of the artwork. Every French pastry displayed in the dessert cabinet at the counter is a result of Yi-Han's blending of her experiences studying in France with various inspirations from life, developed and created over a period of one to two months. Yi-Han pours her indomitable spirit and dedication from her musical studies into her dessert creations, resulting in pastries that possess rich and varied aesthetic layers. To complement the different desserts, Chia-Hung recommends various single-origin teas. From selecting the tea leaves to brewing and serving them to guests, every step is meticulously monitored by Chia-Hung, ensuring that the best dishes are presented to customers, as he never compromises on quality. This is perhaps why Chia-Hung can never pinpoint just one recommended dish in the store: he believes that every item he serves meets his own high standards. The walls of the store feature regularly changing art exhibitions, including photography, oil paintings, and sketches, quietly telling their stories as guests glance up. Just like the natural artistic beauty of Infusion Cake and Tea House, which quietly stands on Chengren Street, waiting for passersby to unintentionally step in and hear its tale. Recommended dishes: Lemon Tart, Smoked Earl Grey Tea.
