Once a software engineer, he has always had a dream of opening a shop. After careful evaluation and consideration, he decisively left his job to start a business, showcasing his culinary aesthetics through R5 Bistro to every guest who walks in. During his student years, Zhong had experiences working while traveling, where he tasted a very pure American hamburger—having no extra sauces, it focused solely on the essence of the meat. "Although simple, it has a refreshing taste," he recalls wistfully, "but after returning to Taiwan, I have never experienced a similar sensation again." This motivation solidified his goal of operating a new-style Western restaurant. Zhong proudly mentions that all dishes in the restaurant use natural ingredients, insisting on not adding MSG or heavy flavoring agents, making it not only healthy but also allowing customers to enjoy the pure taste of food. Through this culinary spirit, he aims to recreate that simple taste he once experienced. "Additionally, our drinks and desserts are also of professional quality, such as our specialty coffee and freshly made handmade desserts," Zhong adds. He wants to ensure the quality of beverages and desserts along with the Western dishes. "I hope customers feel that this is not just a restaurant, but also a café and dessert shop."
