Yuan Le An & Miss Morning Introduction
You are not eating a cake, but the pure spirit of Taiwanese people. What year did it open? 2016, perhaps? Or was it 2014? Miss Morning picks up her phone and scrolls through the long river of memories... Miss Morning and Yuan Le An used to be two restaurants sharing a space, but after relocating, they merged and now offer creative brunches and Japanese-style set meals. Both brands share the same philosophy, insisting on using fresh ingredients and healthy, natural, additive-free cooking, sharing the food they love with customers. The chef of Yuan Le An has a family background in traditional Chinese medicine and can prepare the necessary spices and braising packets directly. With a passion for cooking, the meals are all made fresh; even the ribs are hand-broken, prepared as if cooking for themselves. After many successful years in the takeout business, when indoor dining was prohibited due to Level 3 alerts, many loyal customers thought of them first for lunch boxes. Fortunately, their business was not heavily impacted during the pandemic! Ah! It opened in 2015. Miss Morning finally scrolled to the year of the opening, when brunch places were still few, bringing stable quality illy coffee to the citizens of Chiayi City, along with the wonderful skills of several home bakers. Throughout this journey, they remained consistent. Image source: Chiayi City Government Tourism Bureau | Photography: Margot
