Dings Tea Introduction
In the city, sipping a cup of freshly brewed high mountain tea from the hillside tea garden, Ding Style Tea House is a brand rooted in the connection between the returning second-generation tea farmer, Zhong Mingzhi, and a unique shepherd dog named Ding Ding. Unlike traditional tea shops commonly seen in Taiwan, it operates in the form of a café, offering cups of freshly brewed tea to help the younger generation understand the essence of Taiwanese tea without any distance. After returning home to engage in the tea industry, Zhong Mingzhi was astonished to find that the number of young people consuming tea was surprisingly low, as they were more drawn to the convenience and affordability of hand-shaken beverages, resulting in a sense of distance from traditional Taiwanese tea. This led to a lack of understanding of the culture and significance behind it and a hesitation to enter tea shops to learn more. Therefore, the initial purpose of establishing Ding Style Tea House became how to give Taiwanese tea and young people an opportunity to connect. As a result, Ding Style Tea House created a new way of enjoying tea, building a comfortable and pressure-free tea-drinking space. Guests entering the tea house can choose a cozy seat, order tea from the menu at their leisure, and once the tea is brewed and served, they can savor the tea carefully or pick a novel from the shelf to enjoy along with it. They might even sit at the bar and chat with the shop manager, listening to stories about tea cultivation, preparation, and historical accounts related to tea, thus gaining a renewed or deeper understanding of tea. We are fortunate to be part of a renowned tea-producing area in Taiwan and hope that through the management of our tea house, young friends who are still unfamiliar with Taiwanese tea can have an initial understanding, gradually developing a habit of enjoying a cup of tea in their daily lives. As winter quietly arrives, our winter limited edition - osmanthus oolong tea is warmly launched. Why not come in, have a seat, and listen to the story of a good Taiwanese tea!
