90 Desserts Shop Introduction
The first Canelé specialty store in Chiayi was founded in 2020 by a young man in his 90s who loves making desserts. He chose the Canelé, known as the "Angel's Bell," as the store's theme. Although located in a quieter area of Guangcai Street in Chiayi City, he invested significantly in hiring a well-known design company, creating an elegant ambiance with blue tones and dark wood, complemented by dreamy white curtains, reflecting a vintage French charm. If you happen to walk down this street, you will be surprised to find a dessert shop that exclusively sells Canelés. Upon entering, you can feel the warmth and sweet aroma of baked goods. As a Canelé specialty store, Jiu Ling Sweet Shop offers not only traditional Canelés but also has developed a variety of flavors with fillings, including matcha, coffee, apricot, cocoa, Earl Grey, Pu-erh tea, and Thai milk tea, occasionally launching limited editions like the Mini Canelé, which is more challenging to make but perfect for a single bite. During different holidays, they also offer assorted flavor gift boxes. Due to the pandemic, currently, Jiu Ling Sweet Shop operates with only one pastry chef and does not allow dine-in; it's best to make a reservation for your favorite Canelé flavors.
