Ninety Sweets Introduction
The first specialty Canelé store in Chiayi was established in 2020 by a dessert-loving young man born in the 90s, who decided to return to Chiayi to start a business. Choosing the Canelé, fondly referred to as the "Bell of Angels," as the theme, the store is located in an older building on Guangcai Street, which is relatively quiet. Despite its location, the owner invested in hiring a renowned design company, Xiao Fu Qi, to create an elegant ambiance featuring a blue and dark wood color scheme, complemented by dreamy white curtains, reflecting a French vintage sentiment. If you happen to stroll down this street, you will be surprised to find a dessert shop that only sells Canelé. Step inside to enjoy the warm, sweet aromas emanating from the bakery. As a specialty Canelé store, Jiu Ling Sweet Shop offers not only the classic Canelé but also has developed various flavors including matcha, coffee, apricot, cocoa, Earl Grey, milk tea, and Thai milk tea, all containing filling. Occasionally, they release limited-edition items, such as the Mini Canelé, which is more challenging to make but perfect for a single bite. They also launch assorted flavor limited gift boxes for different festivals. Due to the pandemic, the dessert chef at Jiu Ling Sweet Shop is currently operating solo and dine-in service is temporarily unavailable. If you have a favorite Canelé flavor, it is best to make a reservation in advance. Source of images: Chiayi City Government Tourism and News Department | Photography: Mag.
