The Taste of Memories Forty years ago, a retired soldier reminisced about the flavors of his hometown and attempted to recreate the dishes that reminded him of home, seeking solace from his nostalgia. After savoring the recipes himself, he opened a restaurant that serves authentic Chinese dishes, conquering the taste buds of everyone—this is the "Mainland Restaurant" located next to the Wu Feng Temple in Zhongpu Township. Since its establishment over forty years ago, the restaurant has now been taken over by the second-generation owner, Yang Song-tao, who inherited and improved upon his father's culinary skills, bringing a variety of Chinese cuisine distinct from local Taiwanese flavors.
