Dongshi / Hua Rong Seafood Restaurant Introduction
Since the Chiayi County Government transformed the traditional Dongshi Fishing Port into the Dongshi Fisherman's Wharf, it has attracted a steady stream of visitors from all over the province. Next to the Fisherman's Wharf is the Huahong Seafood Restaurant, where the owner, Hsu Huajie, and his two sons serve as the head chefs, creating exquisite culinary dishes that have spread by word of mouth among many diners, and even received online recommendations. With a 13-year reputation, it has become a favorite for gourmet food tourists, just like the Fisherman's Wharf. The Huahong Restaurant faces Wanggang Fishing Port, which is a professional oyster farming port, differing from the fishing-focused Fisherman's Wharf; however, the two locations are about a kilometer apart and can be reached via the coastal dyke road.
