Dulan Sugar Factory 61 Introduction
"Dulan Sugar Factory 61" was originally the Dulan Lounge - "Dulan Sugar Factory Café," which often served as a gathering place for local residents and artists in Dulan. Due to the passage of time, the building's pillars and base began to deteriorate, leading to structural tilting and roof leaks. After the current owner, "Sister Jiang," took over, she actively undertook renovations on the structurally compromised building while reimagining the direction of the old structure. It reopened at the end of 2014, showcasing the skeletal structure reminiscent of the Japanese colonial period, with local artists contributing to the design, and themed as a restaurant centered around "brown sugar." The menu offers Chinese dishes, beverages, snacks, and souvenirs. Both visually and tastefully, it aims to connect with the local sugar industry of the past, presenting a style of "traditional flavors." During the summer, diverse ice products related to brown sugar will also be introduced. On lively weekend nights, it continues the artistic spirit of the previous "Dulan Sugar Factory Café" by inviting local music creators for open-air performances, allowing everyone to experience the innovative atmosphere within the old house.
