Dulan Sugar Factory 61 Introduction
"Dulan Sugar Factory 61" was originally the Dulan Parlor - "Dulan Sugar Factory Coffee House," a place where local residents and artists often gathered for交流. Over the years, the building's pillars and base have gradually deteriorated, causing the structure to lean and pull on the roof, leading to leaks. After "Sister Jiang" took over as the current owner of Dulan Sugar Factory 61, she actively renovated the building to prevent collapse while rethinking its new direction. Reopened at the end of 2014, it features the skeletal structure reminiscent of the Japanese colonial period, designed in collaboration with local artists, and centered around the theme of "brown sugar." The restaurant offers Chinese cuisine, drinks, snacks, and souvenirs. Both visually and in taste, it aims to connect with the area's past sugar industry and present a "nostalgic" style. In the summer, a variety of brown sugar-related ice treats will be introduced. On lively weekend evenings, it continues the artistic spirit of the former "Dulan Sugar Factory Coffee House" by inviting local music creators for outdoor performances, allowing everyone to experience the innovative atmosphere of the old house.
