Dulan Sugar Factory 61 Introduction
"Dulan Sugar Factory 61" was originally the Dulan Living Room - "Dulan Sugar Factory Coffee House," which used to be a gathering place for local residents and artists. Due to the passage of time, the building's beams and bases became increasingly deteriorated, causing the structure to lean and pull on the roof, resulting in leaks. After the current owner, "Sister Jiang," took over, she actively renovated the building to prevent collapse while rethinking a new direction for the old structure. Reopened at the end of 2014, it restored the skeletal structure from the Japanese colonial period, collaborated with local artists on the design, and established a restaurant themed around "brown sugar." The menu offers Chinese dishes, drinks, snacks, and souvenirs. Both visually and taste-wise, the restaurant aims to connect with the local sugar industry of the past, presenting a "traditional flavor" style; in the summer, it will also offer a variety of ice products related to brown sugar. On lively weekend nights, it continues the cultural spirit of the former "Dulan Sugar Factory Coffee House" by inviting local music creators for outdoor performances, allowing everyone to experience the innovative atmosphere within the old building.
