Batikal Studio (32 Neighbors Coffee) Introduction
"32 Neighbor Cafe" is located in Dulan Village, near Dulan Elementary School. This coffee shop was opened by local youths returning home in September 2015. It also serves as a gathering place for the elders and youth in the community. Here, you can immediately feel the strong sense of tribal culture! The young owner, Bugau, is a lively and cheerful Amis youth who belongs to the "Lasa-Dong" age group within the tribe. Having studied in a culinary-related field, he decided to stay in the village to help out because he wanted to learn more about his hometown's culture and to study the authentic tribal language and life wisdom from his grandparents. After some time, he naturally acquired great skills in living in the community. Being enthusiastic about community affairs and having a good sense of humor, he gradually became familiar with various people and matters within the tribe. The cafe often attracts both elders and youth from the community, making it one of the information exchange centers in the area. While enjoying your coffee, the owner will also tell you about how the taste changes at different temperatures!
