Dulan Introduction
Dulan is the largest village in the southern section of the East Coast, standing beneath Dulan Mountain, which has long been revered as a "sacred mountain" by the local tribal community. It is not only a spiritual symbol of folk customs, arts, and culture but also a great place for tourists to enjoy the beauty of nature! Recently, the Amis community has been dedicated to promoting cultural initiatives, resulting in more refined songs, dances, and innovative handcrafted products, along with delicious and healthy Amis cuisine that is definitely worth trying. The Dulan area features the county-designated archaeological site "Dulan Site," coastal intertidal zones, and rich ecologies characteristic of the Amis village. Additionally, it is home to the "Water Flows Up" attraction, the filming location of the movie "Under the Moonlight I Remember" - "Moonlight Lodge," the beautiful bay "Jiamuzi Bay," and the Brown Sugar Cultural and Art Museum "Xindong Sugar Factory." With scenic spots including the majestic mountains (Dulan Sacred Mountain) and pristine waters (the Pacific Ocean), it offers visitors a journey filled with fun and surprises! The East Coast National Scenic Area Administration has built several pavilions along Provincial Highway 11, allowing tourists to admire the beauty of Dulan Bay from different viewpoints. During summer nights, visitors can enjoy the breathtaking scenery of Dulan Bay beneath a starry sky!
