Rainbow Ecological Village (Formerly Rolan Firefly Conservation Area) Introduction
The Rainbow Ecological Village is located in the Ruili Scenic Area of Chiayi, at an altitude of approximately 1,000 meters above sea level, right in the center of the Greater Alishan Scenic Area, offering a unique environment away from the hustle and bustle. Ruili boasts fresh air and pure springs, with rich natural landscapes and abundant forest resources, making it an excellent place for relaxation, conference training, health preservation, and leisure vacations. The Rainbow Ecological Village has long advocated for ecological conservation, with a rich ecosystem within the park. It particularly focuses on the restoration of fireflies, and from March to June each year, a large number of fireflies can be seen in the park, achieving the highest density in the province, making it a renowned firefly viewing spot in Taiwan.
