Rainbow Ecological Village (Formerly Rolan Firefly Conservation Area) Introduction
Rainbow Ecological Village is located in the Ruili Scenic Area of Chiayi, at an elevation of about 1,000 meters in the mountains, situated in the heart of the Greater Alishan Scenic Area, away from the hustle and bustle. Ruili boasts fresh air and pure spring water, with rich natural landscapes and forest resources, making it an excellent place for relaxation, training, health, and vacation. Rainbow Ecological Village has long advocated for ecological conservation, with a rich ecological environment in the area. In particular, it has made great efforts in the rehabilitation of fireflies, and from March to June each year, a large number of fireflies appear in the park, with the highest density in the province, making it a well-known firefly viewing spot in Taiwan.
