Meet Rainbow Ecological Village (Formerly Rolan Firefly Conservation Area) Introduction
The Rainbow Ecological Village is located in the Ruili Scenic Area in Chiayi, at an altitude of around 1,000 meters, situated in the central area of the Greater Alishan Scenic Area, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Ruili boasts fresh air and pure spring water, abundant natural landscapes and forest resources, making it an ideal place for leisure, health retreats, meetings, and training. The Rainbow Ecological Village actively advocates for ecological conservation, with rich biodiversity within the park. Notably, it spares no effort in firefly rehabilitation, and from March to June each year, a significant number of fireflies appear in the area, achieving the highest density in the province, making it a well-known spot for firefly watching in Taiwan.
