Rainbow Ecological Village (Formerly Rolan Firefly Conservation Area) Introduction
The Rainbow Ecological Village is located in the Ruili Scenic Area of Chiayi, approximately 1,000 meters above sea level, in the heart of the Greater Alishan Scenic Area, far away from the hustle and bustle, providing a unique environment. The air in Ruili is fresh, and the spring water is pure, with rich natural landscapes and forest resources, making it an excellent place for relaxation, meetings, training, health preservation, and leisure vacations. The Rainbow Ecological Village has long advocated for ecological conservation, with abundant ecology within the park. In particular, great efforts have been made in the restoration of fireflies, and from March to June each year, a large number of fireflies appear in the park, with the highest density in the province, making it a well-known firefly viewing spot in Taiwan.
