Fengnian Lingzhi Mushroom Ecological Farm Introduction
Fengnian Farm, established in 1966, promotes Puli's leisure agriculture by offering an interactive experience of hand-picking fresh mushrooms. With a long history and diversified operations, it is also a unique entity in Taiwan's mushroom industry, encompassing upstream, midstream, and downstream processes, and featuring independent temperature-controlled cultivation. The production of edible mushrooms is not open to the public and remains a mysterious process, so while people can enjoy mushrooms and witness their cultivation, they cannot see the entire growing and manufacturing process. Our aim is to help everyone understand the manufacturing, cultivation, and growth processes of edible mushroom strains, as well as to showcase previously unheard-of diverse varieties of mushrooms and the ecological functions and roles of edible fungi. Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience the fun of hand-picking fresh mushrooms, and can actively participate in creating a bottle of mushroom strain from raw materials, witnessing the life cycle of mushrooms and management practices. For over 40 years, Fengnian Farm has been primarily focused on the manufacturing and cultivation of edible mushroom strains, serving as an upstream farm in the mushroom industry and a supplier of raw materials for biotechnology companies. Key cultivated medicinal and edible mushrooms include Ganoderma lucidum, Agaricus blazei, Tremella fuciformis, Lentinula edodes, Pleurotus eryngii, Hericium erinaceus, and numerous other rare varieties, while also extensively cultivating unique mushrooms such as Lion's Mane, Grifola frondosa, and others. Since 2002, in line with government initiatives to promote leisure agriculture in Puli, the farm has opened to tourism, re-planning visitor routes, upgrading facilities, and establishing an exhibition and sales center, an ecological classroom, an outdoor recreation area, and various mushroom display boards, providing a more diverse range of travel services and experiential activities.
